Computer Self-efficacy and Perceptions of Online Learning during the Covid-19 Lockdown in Iran High Schools

The sudden shift to online teaching following the outbreak of COVID-19 has confronted English language learners with numerous challenges. students’ perceptions and practices in learning environments might be influenced by their technology-oriented abilities survive current educational predicament. study elucidated 12th-grade high school experiences a developing country during global pandemic light computer self-efficacy (CSE) level. To this end, total number 110 students completed scale. results indicated moderate low level among participants. According obtained scores, they were divided into low-CSE high-CSE groups asked ruminate over answering eight questions form self-reflection essays. self-reflections two separately analysed, recurrent themes extracted. revealed several commonalities discrepancies between low- high- CSE considering distant within lockdown. findings provide pedagogical recommendations for enhancing efficiency students.
